Tournament results for 2011
MARCH 26 CLINTON
LAKE, KS
By 7:00 the morning of
this tournament the wind was blowing thirty miles an hour, the temperature was
barely above freezing and rain and snow was starting to fall. To make matters
worse one of the Kansas City teams had a broken trailer axle. We all decided
that it was not worth it to brave these conditions so we cancelled the
tournament. However the channel cat were biting. The day before the tournament
the Lincoln Nebraska team had caught eighteen fish in about three hours.
APRIL 9 MELVERN LAKE, KS
Everyone had a good day of fishing in spite of the wind, and the threat of rain
in the forecast. The first place team was Dave Studebaker from Burlingame KS and
Rich Witt from Junction City KS with 5 blue cat weighing 79.70 pounds. Second
place was Chad Branson from Ozawkie KS and Tim Brey from Lyndon KS with 5 blue
cat weighing 79.65 pounds. Mike Seaman and Dave Basil from Junction City KS had
the biggest fish, a 21.45 pound blue cat. The
blue cat in Melvern Lake seem to be very healthy and are growing fast. We think
that by the end of the summer there could be 100 pound tournament weights.
MAY 14 LAKE OF THE OZARKS, WARSAW MO.
The fish were cooperating in spite of the cold front that came in the day before
the tournament. The wind blew from the North at 25 to 30 mph and it made for a
cold of fishing.

Chris White and Shannon Kisner took first place with 78.75 pounds

Chris McElfrish and Morris Wilson were second with 59.85 pounds and had the big
fish at 31.25 pounds

Shannon Scott and Jamie Peterson were third with 47.00 pounds

Rick Wooderson and Cody VanPatton were fourth with 31.75 pounds
