KANSAS DISTRICT

MID-WEST CHAMPIONSHIP 2008

Any violation will result in automatic disqualification.
All participants are subject to a polygraph test.

1. This tournament is a team event. A team consists of one, two or three people. The third person must be under 16 years of age or over 65 years of age. A three person team can only fish with six rods at one time. A two person team can fish with six rods provided each member has a 3-rod permit (State law). All State and Federal boating and fishing regulations will apply.

 

2. Tournament schedule and hours:

    Friday 6am pre-tournament meeting 7am takeoff---4pm stop fishing and proceed bac to boat ramp for further weigh-in instructions and trailer loading

    Saturday  first light takeoff---3pm stop fishing and proceed back to boat ramp for further weigh-in instructions and trailer loading.  Awards ceremony will be after the weigh-in is completed.

 Every boat must get a livewell check, both days, prior to take off             

 

3. Fishing is not permitted within 50 yards of a marina gas pump, within 50 yards of another boat or within 50 yards of the takeoff boat ramp. Fishing is permitted any place on the lake that can be accessed by boat from the takeoff site.

 

4. A maximum of 7 fish per boat can be weighed in each day. One dead fish will be allowed per boat at weigh in. No culling of fish at weigh in.

    The fish must be a minimum length of 14 inches. All live fish must be promptly returned to the water after they have been weighed in and recorded. Permitted fish are blue cat, channel cat, and flat head, caught by rod and reel method only.

 

5. No Chumming will be allowed the day of the tournament or 2 weeks prior. Also fishing a spot known to be chummed by a non contestant will result in disqualification.

 

7. All ties in weights will be decided by big fish or the tournament directors method.

 

8. Life vest must be worn at take off.

 

9. Any protests must be made in writing within 15 minutes of the end of the official weigh-in, and the specific rules violated must be stated.

 

10. The use of mobile communication devices to communicate fishing information during tournament hours is prohibited.

 

11. The use of alcohol beverages during tournament hours is prohibited.

 

Please  come to the scales properly dressed, without an alcoholic beverage, and not smoking or chewing. The press and or public are present, and we want to project a positive and professional image at all times.

Good sportsmanship is expected of all tournament participants, and disorderly conduct may be ample reason for disqualification.
